THE RETURN

A Solitary tear escapes the brown depths of her eyes, Her chest heaves with a sigh of trepidation.

"So which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?" ringing in a chorus of feelings she cannot understand

Why the verses she once thought a cacophony, now gives her peace, she cannot understand.

As she lifts her eyes to the Heavens, Yearning to greet her Creator, yet another wave of tranquility washes over her humbled body

A foreign feeling that once sent shivers up her spine, now burned Like a steady candle, promising eternal Light.

The frivolity and smallness of her past now seems in vain, merely reduced to faint mirage in a lost desert

As her delicate head touches the ground, a sob breaks out, her mending heart a testament of the infinite wisdom and Mercy of her Lord. How her twisted insides now smoothed into an abyss of growing devotion, she now finally can understand......

This poem is a revert story and in this I hope to capture the emotions that a person goes through in the journey towards seeking Allah and attaining the true message. I dedicate to this all my revert brothers and sisters who are a constant motivation.

This journey is not just restricted to the ones who have reverted, but also address the plight that many people of faith face. There are a countless times when we feel miserable, with decelerated faith towards the Almighty and a state of defeat in times of trouble. We need to remember that it is He and He alone who possesses the greatest wisdom and doubting His divine plans can only leave us in a perpetual state of despair and disharmony.

So we need to keep this in mind always, if we ever feel low and wretched, the infinite mercy and love of our Almighty will always reach us and protect us. All we have to do is call on His Name and immerse ourselves in His remembrance!
